SSC held a fun event this past week. The Family Trail Stomp and S’mores was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16 at Morgan Falls Overlook Park.
National Parks Service ranger Jerry Hightower was on hand for the family-friendly event to educate the participants about what was going on in the natural world as they walked the trails. Participants were encouraged to help get the hiking trails at the park ready for winter by walking the paths to tamp down the leaves.
After the work, residents cozied up for stories and s’mores by the fire pit at the park.
