2020 promises to be a dynamic time for the Conservancy. Our Executive Director Melody Harclerode, FAIA will join another metro area organization in March. After three years of outstanding service to the Conservancy and Sandy Springs, we wish her success in her new endeavor.
Moving forward, the Sandy Springs Conservancy continues to be a valued partner with the City of Sandy Springs for the design and construction of the one-mile Marsh Creek Trail as an initial segment of the Council-approved Sandy Springs Trail Master Plan.
Our organization is working to expand existing city parks, promote park and trail creation throughout Sandy Springs, and increase Chattahoochee River access. We remain diligent in educating important stakeholders and the public about Sandy Springs parks, green space, and trails through special events, trail clean-ups, and the 2020 Thought Leaders Dinner this fall.
